What Is Twitter And How It Works?: So I was about to work on my blog and my kid bro just asked me what Twitter is all about? I was shocked and surprised by his question.
I said to myself, what really is wrong with this young lad? How could he be asking this kind of question in today’s world? But seeing how serious he was, I came to realize that he actually does not know what Twitter is all about.
His question may seem weird to you but I strongly believe that there are a lot of persons out there who don’t know what Twitter is and how it works.
For this purpose, I chose to write an article explaining what Twitter is.
What Is Twitter: All You Need To Know
Twitter is a social networking platform where registered users can share personal or business posts, interact with their followers through twitter DM (Twitter direct messages). The posts made on twitter by users is known as a “tweet”.
As a registered user, you have the ability to post a tweet, like a tweet, retweet and quote someone tweet before retweeting it.
All the above mentioned can not be achieved if you are not registered on the Twitter platform. Twitter can be accessed through it mobile app or website interface.
Twitter is said to be for smart, intelligent and sarcastic people. If you lack any of these qualities, I bet you may likely find the platform boring and complicated.
How To Post On Twitter
Making a post on twitter requires word calculation and learning how to pass your information in a short paragraph. On default then, you can only tweet a post with just 140 (One Hundred and Forty) characters.
This has been an issue for most users who have more than 140 character words to tweet about.
Twitter founder, Jack Dorsey who has received millions of complaints from users then decided to increase the number of characters to 280. Now you can tweet with upto 280 characters and can continue tweeting under your principal tweet. This is known as a thread.
As at the time this article was published, Twitter has about 330 million monthly active users and about 145 million daily active users.
Whichever you want to make a favorite depends on your user experience. If you wish to create a twitter account, this article can help, if you also wish to set up a Facebook account, refer to this article.
